In the Gray Pencil Box Misc. Drawer at back WC. Not the Blue Box.

I can't access my Lighthouse Account, because my number changed. What do I do?

Take Name, Old Number and New Number down on a notecard - and give to WC Coordinator or put in Blue Box for Tech to update. You can not access your account without the listed number.

What should you do if someone wants to leave their luggage, bike, or bag at the WC during service?

Let them know that we can not hold their items, but that we may be able to store somewhere else so that their items are safe during service. Call Security who will examine items before taking to warehouse or cafe.

I want to serve, but haven't heard back yet from anyone.

Verify how and when they signed up. Signed up for which team. Go over signup process. Note for Ministry Lead if they did in fact sign up, and it has been several weeks without a response. Gather contact information and name!

I want to serve, but I don't see the ministry listed. What gives?

If a ministry is not listed when signing up to serve, it means that team is currently full.

When and How should you find coverage?
Who do you reach out to? What do you do after?

Anytime you are scheduled to serve and know you will be unable to make it (sans last minute emergencies or sickness). Reach out to Anyone on the WC Connect Doc (Lead for Lead, Specialist or Lead for Specialist) who is not blocked off and not on your team.
Once a swap or cover is confirmed - let Dawn know.

What should you do if someone says they completed connect card already using the QR Code, and would like a gift?

Provide the gift, and mark off on the give away card they said they completed online. It's more important we make them feel welcome - so honor system is fine here!

Lost & Found Items - what would you do with each of the following: Sunglasses, Lipstick, Sweatshirt

Sunglasses: Bag and put a tag on - do not place tags directly on glasses. Place in small Bin in L&F Section of Cabinet

Lipstick- Trash at end of services. 

Sweatshirt- Use a Clothing Tag Pin with the date on it and place in the Clothing Bin in L&F section of Cabinet.

How do I signup for Benevolence? What is the process? What is covered by Benevolence? 

Applications are only accepted through our online system, and require supported documents. After, you must meet with Benevolence board to discuss application.

-           Non Christ-centered Recovery Homes

-           Security deposits

-           Child / spousal support

-           Legal fees

-           Elective medical expenses

-           Credit cards unless used in a crisis or emergency situation (hospitalization, death, etc.)

-           Any other expenses that are not deemed as absolutely essential


Other:

  • We don't provide cash, but pay the bills directly.
  • Maximum amount given is $600.
  • Can only receive help every 365 days.

What options does LH offer for interpreter services? How do you request this?

LH has an ASL interpreter, but no translators for other languages. 

We don't automatically have an ASL interpreter in every service. If they are there, they will be in Front Section 1 close to Stage. 

An interpreter can be requested for future services. - Send an email to info@lighthouse.church. - Request on LH Chat or call the church office to schedule; M-Th, 10-5, 443-517-6042.

1. Check to see in the book if security has already approved them.

2. If not, have the lead call security - indicate where they are, and clarify if they are Banned or on Watch List.
