Pineal gland
Secretes hormones that regulate the body’s metabolism, heart, digestive functions, muscle control, brain development, and maintenance of bone mass. Needs iodine to function properly.
Thyroid gland.
Affects almost every physiologic process in the body: growth, blood pressure, contractions during child birth, breast milk production, sexual organ functions, thyroid gland function, and conversion of food into energy. The most complex organ in the endocrine system.
Pituitary gland.
