Name ONE valid reason why EMI uses Sets when it comes to Equipment.

And no… "because we want to" or "because our System Admin is crazy" do not count. 😂

  • Helps prevent someone from forgetting a necessary component.
  • Allows multiple Equipment items to be added with one selection.
  • Helps ensure the correct quantities of related components are requested.
  • Makes ordering equipment faster/easier for the AM.
  • Gives the Warehouse a clear list of all the individual pieces that need to be picked.
  • Helps make sure something will actually work when it gets onsite (e.g., the correct frame with the correct-sized top).

A client wants a large new display produced for an upcoming event. Due to the production timeline, some pieces will need to ship directly to the venue rather than going through the warehouse first.

Name THREE additional considerations or costs that should be planned for beyond simply producing and shipping the display to the venue.

Potential answers:

  • Shipping costs for these items
  • On-site receiving: Who will receive the shipment, and how will the team get the pieces from the venue's receiving/loading area to the event space?
  • Vehicle capacity: Does the new display require a larger or additional rental vehicle?
  • Post-event transportation: Will everything actually fit in the planned van/vehicle after the event, or will some pieces need to be shipped back out? Does packing material need to be saved? Where would that material be stored onsite?
  • Rush costs: Are there rush production, expedited freight, or other premium fees created by the timeline?
  • Reduced QC/testing time: Direct-to-venue delivery may mean less opportunity to assemble, test, inspect, or troubleshoot the display before it needs to be event-ready.
  • Venue requirements: Are there loading dock appointments, delivery restrictions, storage limitations, union labor requirements, etc. that could affect the plan or cost?

A client is deciding between magnets, a partial vehicle wrap, or a full vehicle wrap.

Name TWO things you should consider or confirm before deciding which option to recommend.

  • Budget: These options have a wide cost range!
  • Magnets: Is the vehicle actually magnetic in the areas where the magnets need to be placed? Some vehicles don't have magnetic doors/body panels.
  • Full Wrap: Do we know the exact vehicle make/model? The design needs to be created specifically for that vehicle.
  • Full Wrap: Is there enough lead time for production and installation? A full wrap requires significantly more installation time.
  • Partial Wrap: Do we know the vehicle color? The design needs to work with the existing vehicle color, including whether a lighter or darker design will work best.

The cheapest/easiest option on paper isn't necessarily the right option if we don't know enough about the vehicle itself or the timeline.
