So everyone can settle, focus, and be ready to learn together without needing reminders.

Notebook/binder, pencil/pen, and Chromebook (when directed).
What should your voice level usually be when working with your table group?
Level 1 or 2 (partner or small-group voice) unless told otherwise.
What is the expected voice level when the teacher is giving directions to the whole class?
Level 0 (silent).
What are two expectations during Community Circle sharing?
Listen respectfully and speak only when it is your turn (or when invited).
What does it mean to be “ready” when the timer or teacher signal happens?
Materials out, backpack off the desk or under the chair, eyes up, voice at Level 0.
Why do we keep the table surface clear of backpacks and extra stuff?
So everyone has space to work and we can move materials or papers quickly.
If your group is stuck on a task, what is the first move before calling the teacher?
Ask each other, use the role cards/scripts, or check the board/directions.
What should you do if you need to use the restroom during class?
Follow the classroom bathroom procedure (pass, signal, or whatever system is in place).
Why do we sometimes start the day with a short community activity instead of jumping straight into content?
Relationships and emotional readiness make academic learning stronger.
What is one thing you should not do during the first 2–3 minutes of class?
Talk across tables, dig in your bag, or ask non-urgent questions.
What should you do if you realize you are missing a material after class has started?
Quietly ask a table-mate or the Materials Manager first before raising your hand.
What does it look like when a table group is self-managing well?
Everyone is on task, voices are appropriate, and they solve small problems without adult help.
