What happens when students miss 10+ hours of class?
They may be dropped from the class.
If a student is taking an ESOL course for the second time, is it possible receive a score of "IP"?
No. The student will receive an F.
Can AI be used to help clean up an essay before you submit it for a grade?
No. You may not use AI to proofread your essays without permission from your professor.
I want you to learn from the writing process. There may be times when I ask you to use AI, and I will ask you how you used AI and how it was or was not helpful.
If you are not sure whether you may use AI, please ask me.
NEVER submit anything written by AI as your own writing. That is academically dishonest.
What should students do if they know they will be absent?
They should contact Anna BEFORE the absence as a courtesy and to make arrangements for makeup work.
What should a student do if he/she knows he/she will be absent on the day of an exam or essay?
The student should speak with the professor BEFORE the absence and discuss whether or not a makeup exam is possible.
When is it ok to email your professor? When is a good time to talk to your professor about a problem you are facing?
