Waive your hand over the top of the container to WAFT the air particles towards your nose to get an idea of a scent. Do NOT stick your nose in the container and take a whiff!

Protect your eyes and body with goggles and usually an apron. Long hair should be pulled back, you should not be wearing any dangly jewelry or have loose sleeves around your wrist area. Hot equipment should be handled / transferred with the proper tools, do NOT carry hot items with your bare hand!
