This expectation means treating materials in the classroom appropriately. (Not breaking or throwing things on purpose)
What is Respect Property?

Not talking and paying attention.
You forgot your pencil. Where can you borrow one?
The front table under the word wall.

This expectation means working at an appropriate pace and not distracting yourself or others.

Mrs. Palmer already gave you a redirect (either out loud or nonverbally). You continue doing the thing that got you a redirect (or another thing you know isn't okay). What is going to happen?
You'll go to a safe seat.

This expectation means you treat everyone with common courtesy including yourself.

When is an appropriate time to sharpen your pencil?
Before class starts, during independent work time, when Mrs. Palmer (or others) are not talking to the class.
You are talking in the safe seat to your friend because you need help on an assignment. What will happen next?
You will be sent to a buddy room.

In the extra copies bin at the end of the counter by the sink.

This expectation means that when you are given a direction you follow it without trying to find any loopholes, arguing, or dragging your feet.
What is Follow all adult directions immediately and completely?
What food/drink can you bring to Mrs. Palmer's class?
Water.
You're asked to go to a safe seat, but you don't think you deserve it.
