When you do this, you give away something- either an item or maybe your time- for free
Donate
You notice a student sitting by themselves at lunch. What could you do?
Ask to sit with you
This is one of the simplest acts of kindness you can do. It's also polite!
Say "Thank you"
These are items you can donate, especially if you've had a growth spurt!
Clothes
This is another word for going to see someone. It's a kind thing to do, especially if someone is in the hospital, or if you haven't seen them in awhile.
Visit
We are all a member of one of these. Sometimes, we are a part of more than one. It is an important thing to give back to and to support. As an example, you are part of your school _________.
Community
This is something we often give on someone's birthday or a special occasion. You don't really need a reason to make one though! The best thing is, it's a kind gesture that doesn't need to cost a lot of money.
A card
A student next to you in class is about to give a presentation, but you can tell they are very nervous. You tell them they'll do great and wish them good luck. By doing so, you are giving them words of ______?
Encouragement
Too old for these anymore? You can donate them instead!
Toys
When we spend time with someone, it's important to consider how we spend that time. We shouldn't be on our phone the whole time, ignoring the person we are with. We want it to be _____ time.
Quality
When you do this, you are offering to work or help for free. It often makes you feel good that you've helped someone.
Volunteer
This is a simple but helpful act of community service you can do around your neighborhood. Just be sure to wash your hands afterwards!

These are facilities that accept gently used items that can be given to another person or family in need.
Donation centers (i.e., thrift store, Goodwill, Arc, etc.)
This is something you can do to spend time with your family/friends/people who act as family. (And maybe you'll learn a few new recipes along the way!)
Cook a meal
This word means the ability to understand how someone else is feeling and see things from their perspective. Being kind is one way to express this feeling.
Empathy
(Will also accept "walking in someone else's shoes.")
It is considered good manners to do this, especially if someone has their hands full.
Hold the door
We can give these out for free. They can make someone smile and feel good, and it costs us nothing.
Compliments
This is another word for gift. Giving these is a way to express that we were thinking of someone.
Presents
Aside from family/people who act as family, it's important to spend quality time with these people.
Friends
This feeling is similar to both kindness and empathy. It occurs when we see someone or a group of people suffering, and we have a desire to take action to help them. Often this feeling is what inspires people to donate, volunteer, or give back.
Compassion
You see a student in the hall has dropped their books, and you stop to help pick them up. This idiom (or expression) is another way of saying you helped someone out.

You feel this when you recognize what someone has done for you or recognize the value the positive qualities of someone or something. You can express this through kind words to someone.
Appreciation
This type of gift is not bought, but created.
