How many family care days do we get? Who and what can they be used for?
4 days can be used for any type of care, not just illness. Superintendent can grant more!

What was added to our salary grid?
An additional Step 14 starting THIS year, and a Step 15 starting NEXT year. Along with a 2% increase overall (1% new step).
How many personal days can we roll over? Do we need to give a reason for a personal day?
Up to one day can be rolled over. No reason is ever needed except for the third day.
What are the THREE forms you need to submit for courses?
What is Intent to Submit (Oct 1), Course Approval (prior to course start date) and Course Credit/Tuition Reimbursement (May 15 or Oct 1)?
What is the schedule for Full District PD Days?
8-2 with 30 minutes for lunch
How long is the new paid parental leave? Who can get it?
A base of 8 weeks (up to 4 additional weeks of sick time for birthgiving parents with a doctors note) for births and adoptions of children under 5, for both parents involved. (If both parents are employed by HPS, they split the benefit)
When are the times when a personal day CANNOT be used.
What are on a day immediately prior or following a school vacation/holiday, or during the last five days of school? (If you want to attempt to use time on one of these days for extenuating circumstances, you can request that time with the circumstances included).
What is the maximum number of self-paced, online course credits than can be earned during each year?

How long are our Monday meetings?
All meetings are 60 minutes with the exception of one building meeting which is 90!
When should I apply for sick bank time?
Within 15 days of you expending your sick, personal time.
Do family care days count towards our sick time?
Yes, but it does NOT count towards your "ten day" count for needing a note.
What is the minimum grade required to earn course credit?
B
If I miss Monday meetings, do I use personal or sick time?
Neither! You don't get "docked" time, but it could show up in your evaluation!
How many bereavement days can I use for someone not listed as "family"?
One day, with more per Superintendent approval.
Who counts as "family"?
Who are: parents, step parents, siblings, spouse, child, step child, grandparent, grandchild, people who live with you, & the following in-laws: mother, father, siblings?
Does our yearly course reimbursement limit reset each fall?
No! It works on a fiscal year. Pick ONE date (fall or spring) to be your reimbursement time to avoid "going over".
If you suspect or are told there may be disciplinary action taken, always bring a rep!
What time does Back to School night end?
No later than 8pm!
