When we were playing with magic sand and normal sand together in water, we noticed that the magic sand was not getting wet while the normal sand was. How come?
Magic sand is hydrophobic or afraid of water so it blocks water away. Normal sand is hydrophilic or loves water so normal sand gets wet when it touches water.
