Why is being able to communicate issues (bug and wish) important and why is being able to give an apology important? How many times should you use bug and a wish before getting adult help?

Because it helps resolve issues before they become big problems. It creates good friendships, prevents fights. Being able to apologize shows that you can take responsibility for choices and try to make things right. It helps everyone feel better. You should try it 2 times before getting an adult to help.

Reporting is necessary when you cannot solve the problem on your own, someone could get hurt, or it's an emergency. Tattling is used when you want to get someone in trouble and you didn't try to solve the problem on your own first.

You can respectfully but firmly tell them that what they are saying is unkind and to please stop. You can use a bug and wish as well. "It bugs me when you make unkind jokes. I wish you would stop and be kind."
