Your desk should be cleared off of everything except a pencil and water bottle.

She should sit somewhere else. She will not be able to focus on her reading if she talks to her friend.

Why do you need to be quiet in the hallways?
Other classes are working, and the teacher might give directions that you need to hear.
Where should you put homework that is in your take-home folder?
In the white turn-in bin.
The floor should be clean. There should not be pencils, papers, or other items on the floor.
Kyle chooses a spot to sit during read-to-self. He keeps getting up and moving to a new spot. Why should Kyle stay in one spot instead?
It will be easier for him and his classmates to focus if he stays in one spot. The more students read, the better they get at reading, and the more fun reading becomes!
