How do you respond to the open response questions on the reading prompts?
- Use the +1 method (If they say provide 3 facts, give 4. If they say give 1 fact, give 2)
- If they provide you with two articles, use BOTH articles to find facts from;
- Make SURE you respond to the question and find RELEVANT facts to answer the question;
- Start with CONCRETE DETAILS. End with your COMMENTARY;
- REMEMBER: It only takes about three sentences to fully answer most of the open response questions if done correctly
