There are other symptoms and these symptoms might not always mean that you are feeling stressed, but it is a good sign that you may need help!

Why is deep breathing an important exercise to practice every day?

Practicing deep breathing exercises several times a day can help reduce feelings of stress and big emotions. If you practice it every day, you are more likely to remember to use this exercise when your mind and body need it the most. Let’s practice the “Deep Belly Breathing” exercise together. Follow my lead! Step 1: Place your hands flat on your stomach and pay attention to your stomach. Step 2: Take a deep breath in through your nose and send the air all the way to your stomach. Feel your stomach expand and your hands move out. Step 3: Breath out while feeling your stomach contract and your hands move in. Do this 3 times everyday!

Mental health is how you feel emotionally which affects how you think, feel and behave. Usually, when you seek help and use your coping strategies, your mental health will improve. While mental illness is a brain-related condition that can have an impact on how you think, feel and behave. This can lead to long-term distress and support from health care professionals is recommended. It’s important to remember that a person with a mental illness can still have a strong daily mental health just like everyone else!
