(Imagine like subway surfers gameplay in the background) When I was younger, like 6 or so, my little sister gaslit me into believing that bees were the same species as fish. I (15M) have a younger sister (13G) who I would never trust because she would always say the most egregious things that were ever so slightly believable. Imagine my surprise when she told me at the dinner table that bees were just like fish. I did not believe her until she started spouting nonsense about how they “swim” with their wings in the air (stupid, i know). Eventually, she even got my parents into it, which led to table-side discussions that would end in me crying and going up to my room, in frustration. Despite this, my sister still kept the act going, until one day in school I was humiliated in class. I was so sure bees were fish that I bet my friend 5 dollars to ask the aquarium expert at our upcoming field trip.
This led to me, in front of the entire like kindergarten class, standing up and announcing to everyone that bees were fish because they swam in the air with their wings, just like fins. I still remember their faces to this day, including our tour guide’s. I still have not paid my friend back yet, because the day I decided to (one week later) he moved to china. Like bro wth
