How did the Seattle General Strike cause a distrust of unions?

Two months after the war ended, shipyard workers  in Seattle went on strike urged by Wobblies(IWW) where 100,000 people refused to work. 1,500 soldiers came to maintain order, peaceful, no goals or strategy to end, accomplished nothing.

Members of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) who sought to do away with capitalism and private property rights wanting govt. control. They used street speaking demonstrations to gain support to unionize.
