When do we use third conditional?
when we refer to an unreal or improbable situation in the past.
The sentence: "We couldn't go to the concert, because we didn't have enough money" in third conditional would be:
If we had had enough money, we could have gone to the concert"
If I would have asked him, he would have help me.
In the if-clause we use the past perfect (had + past participle). We don't use would or would have in the if-clause.
