We can tell ourselves that even though we have not accomplished something YET, we can still do it! For example, I haven't reached my goal YET, but I can do anything I set my mind to!

We should stop and think before sharing online. Is this unkind or untrue? Would I want parent or teacher to see this? How will this impact my digital footprint?

Adults such as teachers or parents can help us solve big problems. Big problems can include problems that have to do with our safety and health.

Why do you think people are often meaner online than they would be in person?
Bullies can "hide behind a screen" online. It may be easier for someone to say something mean when they are not facing the person. There also may be no parents online or comments could be anonymous.
What is the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset?
A growth mindset is when someone has a positive perspective. They take on challenges and learn from them. A fixed mindset is when someone has a negative perspective and sees "failure" at face value.

What is respect?
Respect means acting in a way that shows you care about how your words and actions impact others. When we respect others, we treat them the way we would like to be treated!
What is the difference between "upstanders" and "bystanders"?
Upstanders "stand up" and do their best to support their peers who are experiencing bullying. Bystander are those who see bullying happening but choose not do anything to stop it.
What can we do if we see someone's posts or messages online that hurt our feelings?
We can block, unfollow, or report the post or the person's account. If we are unsure about the post or message we can tell a trusted adult.
Why do people with a growth mindset accomplish more goals?
People with a growth mindset don't stop just bc things are hard. They keep a positive mindset that they can do what they put their mind to!
What should we do if the first solution we pick doesn’t solve the problem?
How can you show someone respect even if you disagree with them?
- Be a good listener
- Be open-minded to the other person's point of view
- Thank them for sharing their opinion
- Kindly explain why you disagree or you can say something such as, "I respect your opinion, but I feel differently."

A digital footprint is the “footprint” you leave on the internet. This can include information you have shared such as posts and comments.
Thinking about our digital footprint before we post can keep us safer online by protecting our personal information. It is important to keep your digital footprint in mind when interacting with others online too!
We want our use of the internet to be helpful, not hurtful!
