Can students wear what they want for class?
NO; we have a dress code and dress code matters. Place a clip on your class ribbon every time you have a class in full dress code. After they receive 6 clips, they will have a class spirit day of your choice.
A parent wants to sit in the studio and watch her daughter. Is this possible?
We discourage parents from coming into the studio. However, we do allow parents of tinies to step in if needed to prevent excessive crying/tantrums. All others should watch through SpotTV.
What is the most important part of the class to prevent injuries?
WARM-UP... Do not let students skip warm-up.

When can students take restroom/ water breaks?

What should you do if you can't come to work?
FIND COVERAGE and post your absence in Band. Do not call or tell front desk admin.
What if a student is misbehaving?
If you said come get Mrs. Ashley...you have lost control and their respect. You need to come up with rewards and consequences in your class.
What should I do if a parent is late picking up a student?
Students are charged per minute after a 15-minute grace period. Notify Ashley immediately if a student has not been picked up 15 minutes after class. You may not transport ANY student ANYWHERE for ANY reason.
What are the three main parts of ballet that should be includes in every class?
barre, center, adagio/ allegro

Is there a dress code?
Yes; You need to dress in the appropriate attire and shoes for your class. We may not wear exceptionally tight and small shorts. If you have to second guess it, don't wear it.
What is the most likely cause of students acting out?
BOREDOM; Make your class challenging, interesting, different every week, and fun!
What should I do if a parent wants to book a private with me?
You can schedule the private for your set weekly time through your class manager link OR have the parent book through the portal.
What ballet curriculum(s) does our studio follow?
American Ballet Theatre (Cecchetti based) & Progressing Ballet Theatre
Can I recommend a family to participate in the recital?
Yes, but be sure to tell them to check with the front desk about the cost to participate.
How are team members evaluated?
Student Growth, Student Retention, Attendance/Punctuality, and Observations + Parent Surveys
Am I responsible for attendance?
Yes. We have a 3-point check system for attendance because it is so important. The parent/student should check their name once they arrive. Next, the teacher double-checks for accuracy at the end of class. Afterward, the front desk admin will confirm attendance was submitted for the night.
What should you do if a parent is upset because of lack of growth?
Be sure you are updating skills in the class manager so we can specifically speak to them about their progress.
