What resources did Greece have and what could they gain from it?
They had an abundance of grapes and olive trees that would be turned into olive oil and wine. They were near the ocean which allowed them to trade all of their goods easily. These ports were centers or commerce.
Temples and public buildings were built on hills. Since they were on top of hills they were hard to reach and people went there for protection. Below the hills were the homes, shops, and other public spaces.
