A Fallacy that believes just because authority or expert believes something than it must be true.
Appeal to authority
A child asks to go out and when denied shouts " you don't want me to have fun"
Straw man Fallacy
Men never cry
Unqualified or sweeping generalization
Your either a cat person or a dog person, nobody likes them both equally.
Cherry Picking / False Dilemma

Fallacy fallacy
A fallacy that uses coincidental patterns for real pattern (cherry picking/fake patterns)
Texas Sharpshooter
Begging the question
Meeting two people in a city and they're rude then assuming everyone in the city is rude.
Hasty Generalization
My celebrity nutritionist says this specific herb cures cancer, so I’m never going to a real doctor again.
Appeal to Authority / Hasty Generalization
A person argues that smoking is bad, and someone else says, "You only say that because you are a nerd." The person's personality doesn't make the fact that smoking is bad untrue.
Ad hominem
A fallacy that chooses a few examples that supports your argument, rather than looking at the full picture
"All the women in our family have been house wife's, so you should be one too" Ignoring the others personal ambition and modern gender roles.
Appeal to tradition
If we don't stop using fossil fuels the world will blow up
Slippery slope
No true patriot would criticize the government, and if you do, you obviously hate your country and want to see it fall.
No true Scotsman/ Appeal to Emotion
"My grandfather smoked every day and lived to be 100, so smoking isn't dangerous." The argument is faulty (anecdotal), but it doesn't make the scientific fact of smoking's danger false.
Anecdotal evidence
A fallacy that smuggles in an unproven premise and pressures the listener to accept it simply by answering.
Loaded Question
" a child saying there is a monster in their closet, then them asking their parents to see if there is one."
Burden of proof
Since everyone I know says that Doritos are the best chip I think they're the best chip.
This famous celebrity says this herbal tea is 'natural,' and since it's natural, it must be healthy, which means it's better than medicine
Equivocation / Appeal to Authority
People have used this herbal root to treat fevers for centuries, so it must be more effective than modern medicine". (Longevity doesn't equal scientific proof of efficacy).
Appealto tradition
A fallacy that thinks a claim is true (or false) because it can't be proven true (or false).
Appeal to ignorance
A patient gets better after taking a remedy, leading them to believe the remedy cured them.
Correlation proves causation
All homes are by a fast food place, all houses are by a fast food place.
Equivocation
If we allow students to use laptops for notes, they will stop paying attention entirely, fail their classes, and the school's reputation will be ruined. Therefore, we either ban all technology or accept the total failure of our education system
Slippery Slope / False Dilemma
"Someone with your vast intelligence and refined taste can surely see that my proposal is the best option". The person is using a compliment to make you agree with them rather than proving their proposal is actually better.
Appeal to emotions
