What do you do when you want to talk in class?
By raising you hand quietly until you are picked.

How do you enter and leave the class? Explain for both.

Entering the class- hand sanitizer and find your desk quietly. Look on the board for what needs to be done.

Leaving the class- you will be dismissed to line up quietly. Push in your chairs and grab what you need for the next location (music- recorder, binder; recess- snack, water, sweater, etc.)

How do we walk around campus? Think body language, noise level.

What am I responsible for cleaning? 

Your desk, chair, and everywhere in the classroom- not just the floor around you!

You are also in charge of your section:

If you're parallel to the front door, you're in charge of the space from the mailbox to the blue chairs.

If you're by the back wall, you're in charge of all the bookshelves. 

If you're by the big table, you're in charge of putting up those chairs. 

Floor space is included in all these areas.

How many people is considered a group?

How do students respect other students properties?
By not touching them or destroying them. Ask to use first before taking anything.

When can I use the bathroom?
Before school, during recess, and lunch recess. But you can also go if you earned an Activity Pass with a partner.

What happens when you get water or go to the bathroom after the class is lined up?

You lose minutes of recess or PE for every minute we wait for you.

What does a good working group look like?
They are sharing, helping, and encouraging others and getting your work or project done.

What kind of food can students have in class?

Water.

Snacks and drinks that are not water are for recess, lunch, or class parties.

When can I sharpen my pencil?

Before school, during recess or lunch time, or after school. You have 3 pencils in your box!

What do we do when we arrive at school? 

What do we do at dismissal?

Arrival: Hang up your backpack and go to morning care. 

When you come into class, bring in your red folder, planner, and water. You planner should be open and ready to copy down homework. 

Dismissal: look on the board for what you need to do (wipe down desk, check mailbox, put up chair, clean class, etc.)

Do we have classroom jobs?

Yes! They will rotate each week. Some students may be "on vacation" and will not have a job that week.

What kind of noise will working in group sound like?

Students talking amongst each other but not disrupting other groups.

When is homework assigned and due?

Homework will be assigned first thing in the morning to write in your planner. It is due the next morning. Any work turned in late will receive a 10% deduction and must be turned in by Friday or it's a 0.

Who can be in your group? 

You must have an even number of girls and boys in your group. Work with someone new each time.
