What is justification?
Justification is God forgiving all my sins and declaring me to be righteous.
What is sanctification?
Sanctification is God making me holy in heart and behavior.
What are the two parts of sanctification?
Dying to sin and living to righteousness.
Who will be saved?
Whoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ.
What does it mean to repent?
To repent is to be sorry for sin and to hate and forsake it because it displeases God.
What is faith in Christ?
Faith in Christ is trusting in Him alone for salvation.
How were people saved before the coming of Christ?
People were saved by believing in a Savior to come.
What does pre-existent mean?
It means that Jesus has always been alive. There was never a time when He was not alive.
If your parents are Christians, does that automatically make you a child of God?
No. Children of God are not born by human desire or ability but are born of God.
Is Jesus like God, or is Jesus God?
Jesus is God. He has the exact same nature as the Father. We know He is God because He is eternal, Creator, and self-existent (uncreated).
Why was it so strange that the world did not recognize Jesus?
Because Jesus created the world.
What are some of God's works that Jesus does?
He created in the beginning, and He also saves (creates a new creation).
According to John 1:4, there was life in Jesus, and the life was what?
the light of men
