What is the (Porter) Squiggle?
Created to promote early intervention with students of concern to prevent culminating problems from escalating into a crisis. The goal is to identify students of concern and develop an action plan focusing on retention through provision of support and resources.
What is Slug Support?
Established with the aim of providing undocumented students with internship opportunities that would allow them to further develop leadership, personal and professional skills. Students intern at different on and off campus units for an entire academic year, completing a year-long project under the guidance of their mentor.

The nexus of support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of California, Santa Cruz. We create co-curricular experiences with students, staff, and faculty to challenge cisheteronormative understandings of gender and sexuality. We build a more inclusive campus community with and for all queer and trans people by providing essential resources and education through programming, workshops, and critical dialogues.
