What is Understanding?
Kind of like “happy” but we can feel this even when bad things happen.
What is Joy? Happiness is found in earthly things and is temporary. Joy is lasting happiness we can have when God is the center of our lives.
It is worn around the waist, and secures us firmly to Truth found only in Jesus.
What is the Belt of Truth?
With this gift the Holy Spirit helps us to judge what is right and what is wrong.
What is Counsel?
We can enjoy this fruit when we put all our trust in God.
What is Peace?
This protects us from the attacks of the enemy, the devil.
What is the Breastplate of Righteousness? To be righteous means to faithful to God’s Law.
This gift gives us the courage to make the right choice, to follow the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
What is Fortitude?
This fruit helps us to be understanding and to love others even when they bug us.
What is Patience?
We shod our feet with these when we spread the good of Jesu.
What are the Shoes of Peace?
This gift gives us a desire to love, serve, and worship God.
What is Piety?
This fruit means having a heart to be compassionate, and generous.
What is Kindness?
It protects us against Satan’s attacks, which are like fiery arrows. We are confident that God will help and protect us.
What is the Shield of Faith?
This gift helps us to see things that happen to us as God sees them. To understand His purpose.
What is Knowledge?
This gift means we choose to do what is right, to follow God’s law.
What is Goodness?
With this we are confident that God has rescued us, and forgiven our sins.
What is the Helmet of Salvatio?
This gift gives us the desire to o offend God, to not sin against Him, because we love Him.
What is Fear of the Lord?
This fruit of the Spirit means we can be calm, at peace in the face of hardship.
What is Self-Control?
Having God’s Word in our hearts and on our lips is a weapon that can send the devil running. He knows God’s Word is true, and doesn’t like it.
What is the Sword of the Spirit.
You are true to God’s word.
