Mr. Smith brought peanut in today for chronic coughing over the last few days. Peanut was boarded over the weekend. Peanut hasn't been himself since. On examination Peanuts temp was 104.0, his weight today was 34.8lbs, heartrate was 88, and respiration was 15. I would like to perform x-rays on peanut and give 300ml sq fluids LRS to rehydrate. After reviewing x-rays and clinic signs peanut has kennel cough. Prescribing doxycycline 100mg #21 give one tablet by mouth until gone and also cough tablets #15 give 1/2 a tablet by mouth.
