Right when I get to the classroom by 8:00AM every morning
When I work with a partner, how should I act?
Voices should be calm and quiet and you should remain focused on your task. You should always remain kind and respectful of your partner.
when should i try to go to the bathroom and fill up my water bottle?
try during lunch and recess so you don't miss learning time! You cannot miss class to fill up your water bottle so ESPECIALLY AFTER PE- FILL YOUR WATER UP
when should I line up for lunch or recess?
when I am released from my work by my teacher. She may do this individually or as a class.
When should I arrive at school?
Between 7:45 and 8:00am every morning. We try to begin Morning Meeting by 8:10 and you can't miss it!
Which color folder is the homework folder?
RED
Do I have to work with EVERYONE?
Yes. Sometimes you choose your partner and sometimes I assign your partner. You will be respectful to your partner no matter what.
where/how can I get my supplies?
the supply area is near the back whiteboard. you must be patient and calm when waiting to get your supplies.
how should I line up for lunch/recess?
calmly and quietly and WALKING
What should I do when I get into the classroom?
Turn in my homework, put my cell phone away, and unpack my backpack, then look at the board to see if there's a prompt. If not, I can work on Read Theory or IXL quietly OR read a book!
Which grade does my homework affect?
Work habits grade
During partner work, how loud should the classroom be?
Quiet. Some chatter is OK, but voice volume should not be loud like it is on the playground. Yelling is NOT every acceptable.

9:55-10:15 every morning except Wednesdays when it is after Chapel
What should I do if I am very late? (After 8:15)
Come in through the office and get a note from the receptionist. Enter the classroom quietly and turn in your homework. Give the teacher your note from the receptionist. Join the group quietly with as few interruptions as possible.
Why is homework important?
to review and practice what we learned in class and to prepare for middle school!
You must be kind and respectful to your group members. You must give 100% to your group. You must try to stay on track and help your group do the same.

a lot! Social Studies is largely group project based. You will also work with partners/groups in Language Arts and Science.
When should I sharpen my pencil?
NOT when a teacher or student is speaking to the whole class
NOT during important announcements
NOT during a video
YES when the class breaks to work individually or as groups
YES during transition times
how should I behave at lunch/recess?
just as respectful as I am inside the classroom. I should include everyone and remember to have FUN!
