A group of 20 kids wanted to make egg  casserole breakfasts to donate to the local food pantry. When everyone arrived, they all started working on their own egg casserole. Kids were waiting on one another to get their needed ingredients, and found themselves bumping into one another as they worked on their own recipes. One kid finally said "Hey everyone, lets try setting up an assembly line." Everyone agreed that was a great idea. It took a few minutes to develop the assembly line, but once it got started it was so much more efficient! It didn't take much longer for all of the egg casseroles to be assembled, baked, wrapped, and ready to be delivered.

During the 1960s, American astronauts were celebrities. Alan Sheppard and John Glenn, two of the first Americans in space, were given parades in New York. Until then, this honor was saved for sports stars or war heroes. After returning from the moon in 1969, the Apollo 11 astronauts got a huge parade too. In addition, many people watched space launches on TV. Space missions had some of the highest TV ratings of the 1960s, showing the popularity of astronauts and space during that time.
