Describe the reason the weather in a highland climate varies so much.
Because a highland climate is located in mountainous regions, the weather patterns aren't the same as they are closer to the earth. The air is thinner because it has less oxygen in it, and the location can even be above the clouds. The weather is often colder than that at lower levels.
