John Smith was a member of Jamestown. He was out with his hunting party. They were all murdered by Powhatan Natives except for Smith. He was brought back to camp where it appeared as if Chief Powhatan was going to bludgeon him to death in the head with his weapon. It is said that Pocahontas threw herself on top of Smith's head to save his life. It is also said that they may have never been about to kill Smith, but they were actually putting him through a ritual. Neither has ever been proven.

People say that Columbus was a colonizer. They blame him for what happened to Natives in the centuries after his exploration.

Some say that Columbus mistreated the Native Americans and enslaved them.

A man by the name of Bartolome De La Casas was hired by the King and Queen of Spain to write about Columbus 50 years after he died to blame him for the crimes of the Spanish monarchs, since Columbus was no longer alive to defend himself.
