A phase change is when matter changes from one state to another.

What is the difference between invention and innovation?
Invention: A new thing that is created
Innovation: An existing thing that is improved
What causes day and night on Earth?
Day and night happen because the Earth spins (rotates). The part of Earth that is facing the Sun has day, and the part that is facing away has night.
What is special about gases compared to the other states of matter?
Gas particles always take up the amount of space available. So they will expand as you blow up a balloon or they will come close together when you compress them in a small space.
What causes evaparation?
Heat warming up the water and turning it into water vapor.
How does matter move through an ecosystem?
Matter moves from producers to consumers when animals eat plants. When plants and animals die, decomposers return materials to the soil and air so plants can use them again.

Taking our drawing (design) and turning it into a physical model.

How can we tell if something is a mixture or a chemical reaction?
It is a mixture if you can separate the parts after mixing. It is a chemical reaction if a new substance forms and you can’t separate the parts easily.
