What is Service learning?
Service-learning is when we identify real community needs, take action to help, and reflect on what we learn in the process. It's a bridge between academics and the real world.

What is ethics?
Ethics means thinking about what's right and fair, not just what's easiest. When we work with our buddies, we should also consider Respect, Fairness, and Responsibility.

Direct Service – Helping people face-to-face
Example – serving food at a shelter, cleaning up a park
Indirect Service – Helping behind the scenes
Example – collecting cans for a food drive, making blankets for shelter pets

Example – Surveying students about energy usage and sharing the results with the school
Advocacy-Based Service
Example – Writing letters to lawmakers about saving trees, making posters about recycling.
