I can't figure out this math problem
Should, Must, Can't, Won't
My friend is mad at me right now, which means she hates me, won't ever talk to me again, and I will remain friendless for the rest of my life!
Maybe she's mad at me right now, but we can try to talk it out and fix our friendship.
Bonus Points:
Catastrophizing
My friend drew on my paper because she thinks my hair is ugly
Bonus Points:
Mindreading
When you take something small, like a snowball, and turn it into something big, like a snowman.
Catastrophizing
Your friend accidentally kicked a ball and it hit you on your side, and now you feel sad.
You could ask them to be more careful.
Your friend said to you "Nice goal!" and you think she is just saying that to be kind.
Disqualifying the positive
This classroom is the worst! We never get to do what I want to do and all the students are mean to me.
This classroom maybe could work on expectations, but not everyone is mean to me. And sometimes I do get to choose what I want to do.
Awfulizing
You get an "A" on your paper, but you think to yourself, "the teacher must not have even read it, because my paper really sucks! It did not deserve an "A!"
Disappointed, bummed.
Bonus Points:
Disqualifying the positive.
When you think everything is the worst and you only focus on the negatives.
AWFULIZING
You feel sad because you miss someone that you love.
You could think about family
You could ask for something that makes you feel better.
