A person is conscious and looks to be choking. They are coughing. What should you do?
Encourage them to keep coughing.
With a second degree burn (blisters), what should you NOT do?
Pop the blisters

If someone is having a major bleed from a deep cut, what should you NOT do?
Don't try to clean it
Don't try to pull anything stuck inside it
Do not stop putting direct pressure on it
Explain where to give 5 back blows and 5 abdominal thrusts if someone is choking. (hand placement)
Back blows- between the shoulder blades
Abdominal thrusts- Make a cinnamon roll with your hand and place it directly above the belly button.
If someone is choking and no when else is there to help aside from you, do you give 5 back blows first or call 9-1-1 first?

If the scene is safe, what are the next two steps before calling 911 or performing CPR?
1) Tap them on the shoulder and ask, "Are you ok?" 2) look/listen for breathing
A friend falls off their bike and they're not wearing a helmet. They land directly on their head. What are two steps you can take to check on them? (Hint: AVPU)
A- Alert and able to follow your finger
V- responding to your voice
P- do they react to pain or pressure?
U- Are they unresponsive? (call 9-1-1)
If someone has a 3rd degree burn, what is one thing you should NOT do...
