Because of the poor conditions for workers in the factories, some of these workers decided to form labor unions, the aim of which was to work together as a majority of workers to improve the poor conditions and, above all, to assert the interests of the workers. Some of the main goals were to increase wages, reduce working hours and eliminate child labor in the factories. In order to achieve this, strikes were organized in which a large number of workers refused to work, thereby putting pressure on employers, who then gave in to the demands of the labor unions.
