True! There are over 150 banks in Singapore! The banks we are most familiar with are called local banks like (DBS/OCBC/UOB) or qualifying full banks (Citibank/HSBC). However, there are banks with other type of licenses such as Wholesale banks (95 different banks from ABN Amro to Morgan Stanley and Westpac). But we don't know them as these banks are only allowed to deal with businesses/companies!
