Last fall, I decided to wake up before sunrise and walk along the shoreline of Lake Erie. I could hear small waves tapping against the rocks and the distant calls of seagulls flying overhead. Starting my day this way made me feel calm and focused, and it reminded me how peaceful simple moments in nature can be.

The point of view shows the author’s opinion that spending quiet time in nature is calming and a positive way to start the day.
