This is another name for a web address.

You can do this when you're not finished with a library book and would like to get it again.

Writing that provides facts, information, and true events rather than the imagination.
What is nonfiction?
This is a set of books that gives information about many topics, which are listed in alphabetical order.
What is an encyclopedia?
This is the date or year in which is a book was published. (Hint: you should include it in your citations on a bibliography.)
What is the copyright date?
A program that searches information on the internet by looking for keywords. Google is an example of this.
What is a search engine?
This is a library book's address, written on the white sticker at the bottom of the spine.
What is the call number?
A fictional story where the characters have to be detectives to solve a problem. This type of story is usually filled with suspense!
What is mystery?
A book that has a collection of maps! This book also contains information about the land, crops, and the population of an area.
What is an atlas?
The part in some textbooks that lists the meaning of words specific to that book's subject. It's like a little dictionary at the back of your book!

This resource helps you track and store your sources and create citations. It's everyone's FAVORITE thing to learn about... ;)

The name of the library catalog. I can use this to check if a book is available and see where I need to go to find it.

These are nonfiction books that we don't read beginning to end-- they are to be checked for quick facts and information on specific topics.
