The teacher should do no more than 5-7 minutes of direct instruction during math lab. The rest should be time for you to practice work with a partner, ask questions, etc.

If it takes us more time each day to move from homeroom to math lab class, what problem does that cause? If it takes us 5 minutes each day (instead of 1) how much time are we losing each week?
We are missing out from getting to practicing and make it more permanent in our minds. We are missing out from getting time to talk about it more with a partner or the teacher. We would lose 25 minutes each week (which almost equals 1 WHOLE MATH LAB)!!!!
