Assure guest we will do all we can to find their lost item. Affirm that we have fantastic team members that we trust to return lost items to the front desk as soon they are found and that we will put out an alert to all teams right away to be on the look out for the lost item. Ask questions about the item: Size, color, shape. Post in appropriate chats. Set a planned follow up with guests whether found or not to show guests they have not been forgotten and that we have done what we can. If guest expresses further concern you can let them know a manager will check cameras and be in touch with them.
