Kutztown University Volunteer Programs
A student organization associated with the Community Outreach Center and is dedicated to connecting volunteers with one another and the community in order to grow and improve volunteer opportunities on campus. Meets Wednesdays at 9 AM in the Community Outreach Center, MSU 281.
Student Volunteer Coalition
A social support organization that works to reduce food insecurity and other household economic pressures on families throughout rural northeast Berks County. Located and founded in Kutztown.
Friend, Inc.
A non-profit organization that shelters, feeds, and provides comfort to people affected by disasters; supplies about 40% of the nation's blood; teaches skills that save lives; distributes international humanitarian aid; and supports veterans, military members, and their families.
American Red Cross
An immersive college experience where students get to volunteer over Spring Break to a community in need. Can contact americareads@kutztown.edu for more information.
Alternative Spring Break
A community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to the economic revitalization and preservation of Kutztown. Serves as a liaison to build community, to forge positive relationships, ad to foster cultural and economic collaboration in Kutztown.
Kutztown Community Partnership
A non-profit charitable organization that addresses senior hunger and isolation through wellness checks and nutritional meals.
Meals on Wheels - Pennsylvania
Students help with snow shoveling for seniors and individuals with disabilities during winter storms. Runs from November through March.
Operation Snowflake
A non-profit dedicated to growing the regenerative organic agriculture movement through research, farmer training, and education. The Kutztown location welcomes volunteers from May through October for gardening tasks, public events, and livestock care.
Rodale Institute
Volunteers provide support for patients, families, and visitors through patient and visitor services, patient care, and clerical support.
