How do you treat a bee sting?

  • Use an ice pack wrapped in a thin towel to reduce swelling at the site, but take care not to cause frostbite. 
  • Check for allergies; Use an antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) to reduce swelling and itching.
  • Try ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen) for pain.

Mud can also be applied to sting if ice and benadryl are not available.
