What text says not to celebrate birthdays?
Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays because we believe that such celebrations displease God. Although the Bible does not explicitly forbid celebrating birthdays, it does help us to reason on key features of these events and understand God’s view of them. Consider four of these aspects and related Bible principles.

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Believe That They Have the One True Religion? Explain anwser?
Jesus Christ didn’t agree with the view that there are many religions, many roads, all leading to salvation. Rather, he said: “Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:14) Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that they’ve found that road. Otherwise, they’d look for another religion.

Jehovah’s Witnesses preach to glorify God and to make known his name. (Hebrews 13:15) We also want to obey Christ Jesus, who commanded: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, . . . teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.”—Matthew 28:19, 20.
Moreover, we love our neighbor. (Matthew 22:39)
Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Feel That They Are the Only People Who Will Be Saved? Explain
No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren’t Jehovah’s Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God’s promised new world, “there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”

How Did Jehovah’s Witnesses Get Their Name?
Jehovah is the personal name of God, as found in the Bible. (Exodus 6:3; Psalm 83:18)
our name Jehovah’s Witnesses designates us as a group of Christians who proclaim the truth about Jehovah, the Creator of all things. (Revelation 4:11) We witness to others by the way we live our lives and by sharing with them what we’ve learned from the Bible.—Isaiah 43:10-12; 1 Peter 2:12

Are Jehovah’s Witnesses Protestants? Explain
No. Jehovah’s Witnesses are Christians, but we do not consider ourselves to be Protestants. Why not?
Protestantism has been defined as a “religious movement opposing Roman Catholicism.” While it is true that Jehovah’s Witnesses disagree with teachings of the Catholic Church, we do not consider ourselves to be Protestants for the following reasons:

We do not protest against or attempt to reform the Catholic Church or any other religious group
