Why were Cortés and his soldiers able to conquer the Aztec?

The Aztec believed a "white-skinned god" would one day rule them, so they didn't attack the Spanish. The Aztec were frightened by the Spaniards' horses, which they had never seen before. The Spanish also had more sophisticated weapons, and non-Aztec communities who resented Aztec rule supported the Spanish. The Aztec also fell victim to diseases that the Spanish brought.
