What type of plot-techniques are present?
The story switches between the POV of two different characters. In the year 2002, 14-year-old Henry discovers a strange antique locked away in his grandmother's attic. Henry's story revolves around discovering the secrets of the antique, and evading a ruthless treasure hunter who has been searching for the antique for decades. Every other chapter or so, the POV changes to a young girl's--Lillian, Henry's grandmother--providing hints and clues as to the true nature of the antique and why she hid and locked it away in the first place.
