 ○ Examples: soda, candy, fruit juice, cookies, refined grains (white bread, white rice, pasta)

 ● Complex Carbohydrates - starches & fiber

 ○ Digested more slowly & are more filling 

○ Examples: whole grains, whole fruits, vegetables, beans
