Summarize Iron Shell's vision quest.
Iron Shell went on a vision quest to save his people. He went alone to the top of a high butte to fast and pray. He received a dream about the white man’s iron, and when he came down the butte, he found a broken piece of an iron kettle which reaffirmed the dream he received. He told the men of his village and they gave him the name Iron Shell. He then was taken to a boarding school by the white men where he worked in the blacksmith shop. He became a blacksmith and continued that trade when he returned to the reservation.
