Topic Sentence
What is a TOPIC SENTENCE?
A topic sentence tells what the paragraph is going to be about. (gives us the main idea)
What is a Conclusion Sentence?
The last sentence in the paragraph that reminds the reader of the topic.
-makes it easier to read, helps get your point across, and helps you know if you have hit all the requirements of a good sentence.
In a list statement topic sentence, how many things should list?
typically 3.
The topic sentence is about liking dogs. This is a good supporting detail sentence: "I like them." and why?
