How can you show Ms. McRae respect in class?
Not talk while she is talking, raise your hand to ask questions, follow class directions, follow individual directions when she asks. No swearing.
What is the correct way to enter the classroom?
Walking and quietly - no running!
How can you be responsible in our class?
Taking care of your science notebook, not distracting others
Ask them nicely to not do that again, pick it up for them, ask Ms. McRae if you can get up to throw it away. You should not fly something back at them or yell across the room.
How can you show your classmates respect?
Not talk while they are talking, stop distracting them when they ask, not touching or taking their things (food, pencils, etc.)

Science notebook
How can you show Ms. McRae you are a responsible student?
Checking your grades often, being accountable for your materials in class, being a good example for other students
Your classmate calls you a mean name/swears at you and you want to yell back or throw something, what can you do instead?
Ask Ms. McRae for a 1-min breather outside, ask Ms. McRae for a pass to the counselors office. Take a bathroom break.
How can you show our classroom respect?
What do you do if you do not have a pencil?
Ask a classmate politely for a pencil. Do not steal it off their desk.
How can you be safe in our class?
Not running, not fighting (even if it's a joke), not calling people inappropriate names, keeping your hands to yourself
Say no and tell them to put away their food. We don't want ants!!!!
What are the 3 main rules we follow in class?
Be safe, be responsible, be respectful.
How do you ask to go to the bathroom? How many can go out at a time?
Raise your hand from your seat. One at a time.
What do you do when it is time to pack up after being at the back tables?
Push in all the chairs and clean up everything around you.
You keep getting distracted by your classmates around you and can't focus on your work, what can you do instead of talk to them?
Where do your notebooks go at the end of class? How should they look?
In your class period's bin. Standing upright, not messy. Not around the room or under your desk.
What should you do if you see your classmate drawing on the tables?
Ask them to stop and erase it. (Bonus points) Erase it yourself before Ms. McRae sees!
What should you do if you miss a day of school and need to make up work?
Ask Ms. McRae before or after class for the missing work. Come in during recess to ask questions.
There are people in your group that you are having trouble working with, they are not doing their part of the work, are being distracting, or talking to other groups. How can you solve this problem before asking Ms. McRae to move them or you? What should you not do?
Do: Politely ask them to do their part of the project/assignment. Finish your part of the assignment. Ask your other group mates for help.
Do Not: Yell at Ms. McRae asking to move groups OR yell at your group mate not doing the work. Throw things at your group mate who is not doing the work.
