What is the monthly maximum for respite? AND can this amount be carried over?
Respite has a monthly maximum of $430.00, but has an accumulated yearly amount of $5,160.00.
What's the shelter cap for a single individual?
$875.00

They are designed to assist with participation in the community and to develop personal competence to access community services and supports
At what age can a client start utilizing Supervision support?
12 and over
What is the funding cap on a Home Modification?
$10,000.00 over 10 years.
What can respite supports be used for?
Respite, transportation, in-home cleaning, educational classes.
What is the wage exemption?
$500 + %30 of the amount exceeding $500.00
When are client's eligible for Community Supports?
Clients are eligible at the age of 12, unless it's Community Peer Connection, then clients are eligible at the age of 18.
What's the framework to implement Behavioral Supports?
Under the age of 12, falls under Caregiver Support
What is the funding cap for a Vehicle Modification?
$6,000.00 over 8 years.
An applicant is eligible for caregiver supports if:
o an applicantās capability assessment identifies caregiver fatigue; the level of care and/or supervision required is consistent with admission to an institution, community or long-term care facility; o daily physical assistance of another person for most ADLs; o direction and supervision during the performance of most ADLs; o daily supervision and is not considered safe when left alone;
How many times a year is School Age Allowance issued?
How is an applicant eligible for AAS?
Permanent resident of Prince Edward Island, under the age of 65, substantial impairment/qualified diagnosis, health report, deemed eligible by committee based off the health or other medical documentation and have to receive a funding level based off assessment.
When can we pay a natural support for personal supports?
-When no other supports are available
-When natural support is trained/performed in said support
-When outlined in the capabilities assessment.
Can AAS support a Home Modification for a client's grandparent?
AAS provides funding for modifications or fixed additions to the primary residence of an applicant essential to the applicant remaining in the home. Where the primary residence is owned by the applicantās parent, guardian, spouse, or relative, home modifications may be approved where the parent, guardian, spouse, or relative resides in the home.
When a client's "caregiver burnout" is not captured in the client's CAPS assessment, what are some additional factors that may be included?
the self-assessment of the caregiver; ā¢ input from a health care practitioner and/or additional service providers; and/or ā¢ input from the applicantās Supports Coordinator
